The film takes a deeper look at the initiatives taken by the superpowers of the 21st Century- China, India and the United States to prepare their students for the future. The film tries to tell the broader story of the universal importance of education in the present scenario. The influence family and friends have on a student’s choices and the implications of these choices on their future as well as on a country’s economy. The storyline was conceived by Robert A. Compton and the documentary has been directed by Chad Heeter. The goal of the film is to help people realize the importance of education and do the best with the time they have to ensure a better future for all. |
As soon as a student completes the 8th grade, the clock starts ticking and from that moment, the student has approximately Two Million Minutes until high school graduation, to build their intellectual foundation, prepare for college and career. Precisely, two million minutes to go from a teenager to an adult. The way the students spend their two million minutes affects their economic prospects for the rest of their lives.
