| Mona Lisa Smile-Educational Movie |

There is hardly a part of the film that will not impress you, great acting, amazing dialogues, superb lighting and look of the film; that gives you enough reasons to go watch the film. The story is almost a cliché with a twist being that the teacher this time is a woman and her class of students are a group of uninterested girls and her subject of teaching which is usually the case is art. Especially if you are a woman this film is a great eye opener and reminder of the staggering limitations that women faced as close as fifty years ago; they almost treated their university educations as finishing schools and this is exactly the battle that Julia Roberts’ character tries to overcome and teach her students the sensible path. However, do not go to watch the film expecting the ending, because it would take you by surprise and would leave you pleasantly surprised if it may be added. The film is far from being forgettable. |
In this film, Julia Roberts seemed to have achieved the same level of excellence that Robin Williams did in his ‘Dead Poets Society’. Although many people would like to believe that the film is a remake of the Robin William’s classic only with women in this film rather than a class of boys and a male teacher actually the film has its own different path of telling a similar tale, a tale that is the same in its essence.
