| Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit-Educational Movie |
|
In this film Whoopi Goldberg is called back to her church to help the church choir win a competition and she was going to teach them how to and in the mean time their efforts are also directed towards trying to save their church from becoming a parking lot. The worst part of the film is that it tries too hard to compete with its initial version and because of this reason appears a bit overtly sentimental and cocky in places and by the middle of the film you might start missing the original one. Nevertheless you might enjoy the music that the film includes which is a variety of music, from gospel to Motown to some rap as well. However, the ending of the film is the part that you might like best with some great music and entertaining scenes. On the whole, the film goes amiss in trying to belong to the genre about teacher-student relationship and the likes. |
As you can guess, this film starring the same old Whoopi Goldberg is the sequel to the mega hit Sister Act itself, and the question is whether it has lived up to its expectations or not. The answer to that question would be that it could surely not beat the first film but it has tried really hard and is a good effort enough, although the natural human reaction would be to keep comparing the older film with this one.
