| The Man without a Face-Educational Movie |

Mel Gibson is a faceless hermit, meaning to say that he likes to keep it that way; years ago he had been disfigured while in a fire accident and that had created an emotional crises and an inferiority complex in him that had lasted him a lifetime. He lived just outside a small community and came into the town only for his supplies. However, it was only when he met the young Chuck who was determined to join military school that he begins to open up. Chuck goes to this outcast because he knew he had been a teacher and wants to get away from a home where his mother has new relationships everyday, while he knows that when he is found out all hell would break lose as nobody can be too sure of this faceless man who has so many myths surrounding him. The film is a great lesson to elucidate why they say you must never judge by the face and is a telling tale of the relationship an adult can share with a growing child. This makes for a great family movie. |
Whether you would like to call the film a new age ‘Silas Marner’ or just another age old story of a lovely bond that can form over education and pure mutual understanding, ‘The man without a face’ is very well among the most touching stories that you will see. It is both directed by Mel Gibson as well as it has him starring in it.
