| Where the Wild Things Are-IMAX Movie |

and so this is a film meant mainly for a little older bunch of kids. The plot that the film follows is pretty much the same as the book, where Max an overtly imaginative kid runs away from his home and his mother when he seems to believe that she has no time for him anymore. Through the jungle the place that he reaches is a land of “wild things” who are murderous in nature and threaten to kill him. Our hero however tactfully convinces them that he is their king and has some special powers. The reason why the film is greatly educational for a certain age group of children who would not be terrorized by the life-like wild creatures that inhabit the mysterious land is because the film deals with certain issues and topics that are a major part of a child’s maturing process. There is the foreboding theme of loneliness and also that of the incapability of a child to adapt to change. It is important for growing children to be exposed early to these themes so that they would know that they are not the only ones in the world with a similar kind of despair. |
‘Where the wild things are’ as you know is an adaptation of the book with the same title but varies from the book in great many ways. Firstly, parents should know that even though your four year old loves looking through the wonderfully illustrated book about these wild creatures it is a completely different kind of an experience watching the film
